HOMEOWNERSHIP OPPORTUNITY FOR FIRST-TIME HOME BUYERS
To provide affordable first-time housing opportunities to La Mirada residents, the La Mirada Redevelopment Agency currently has one 2-bedroom condominium unit available for purchase through its Affordable Home Ownership Program II (AHOP II) for eligible participants.
The AHOP II program provides deferred, interest-free loans for eligible participants to purchase a home at a below market rate. To be eligible, participants must meet HUD income requirements, be first-time homebuyers, qualify for a 30-year fixed rate mortgage, and comply with all program rules. In order to participate in the program, households must meet the annual income limits listed below by household size. Certain resale restrictions apply to the program participants.

Those interested must submit an Interest Form by November 15, 2009. The City has established a participation priority system that will give priority to those applicants currently residing or working in the City of La Mirada. Eligible participants at the top of the priority list will be asked to submit an application to provide additional information. Upon review of the applications, eligible participants will be offered the chance to purchase the unit.
